An orphan of the Dwarf Ceres, Echo has natural talent for engineering, but has no respect for authority.
It has been speculated that Echo became an engineer by working on the "Rig" since childhood. Statements from the former personnel of the *Rig*, Echo quickly gained a reputation for his skill, unorthodox but successful methods, and his temper for those who undermine his work.

Because of this, he gained the respect of the inhabitants of the *Rig* and quickly became chief of the *Rig* at a young age. 

During Nyx Harkness acquisition of Ceres, the *Rig* was one of the last facilities to be bought out. After the purchase, Echo joined SFM and was promoted to Head of Engineering by Nyx Harkness. 

Echo was on track to join the extra Solar ship program to become one of the first people to leave the solar system but due to the Supernova the program was scrapped and resources were allocated to the RED SKY PROTOCOL. 
Echo volunteered to join the SFM Scouting fleet to the Anubis System to begin work on an outpost ready for the rest of SFM awaiting in SOL.
